How to Find Job in Odesk.com

This is my continuation topic on HOW TO BE A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT (VA)

Let just say you finish making your profile in Odesk, you have already polish it (with your pictures, skills, etc) , you have taken all the exams, and you are ready to apply for a job.

How to Find Job in Odesk?
Finding job, look at the top of your odesk website, there "Find Providers & job" then you click that and it will come out all the jobs (there are lot of criteria like lets click the Administrative Support)

Administrative Support they categorize each job availability and how many so you click which category you want to apply. So when you click Data Entry. All of the Data Entry job ad will show. Just a reminder, when you apply a job, be sure its an odesk verified payor. How do you know? Well, when you click the job ad , the post will come out. At the top, if its color green (odesk verified payor) then this company's credit card is reliable.
Now, odesk made some few changes, you can find it after you click DATA entry and when you see the job ad (the summary below is buyer- Money (green color) that means this buyer has history and the star means its the feed back from the employee/provider.       Also look at their job history, if they have hired ppl and pay their employees so you will know that this company is paying their employee or not, there is also feedbacks from the employee (you can check that by clicking on the ad and scroll down- it has all the information need, the buyer/employer required - some buyer would required that the provider/applicant have odesk history, has a certain certificate).          Pls. note: do not work if they are not odesk verified payor (you can see a green color, near the apply button -yellow color), some employer would ask for free sample, do not accept. Either they hire you or they dont.

HOW TO BE A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT (VA)?

Are you fed up with the life of working 9am to 5pm job? Or your working in a call center coz you thought that is the only means your going to get big salary. This blog is about those people who are looking for other options or means of livelihood and you don’t know where to start.

Let me tell you, there is other work that you never heard before (if you’re the traditional type- office, company, etc. meaning you have to be person to person, officemate, etc) then this might be new to you.

In today’s generation, everything is computerize and that means even your job is virtual (computerized). You don’t have to travel from your home to the office/company. All you need is your computer, your internet connection and headset (if required) and be sure you have basic skills about computer such as MSWord, MsExcel, copy and paste (data entry), surfing around internet (web research). And if you have special skills like computer programming (java, html, etc), accounting (quickbook), design (photoshop, coreldraw, 3D Max, etc), your rates or you can ask the buyer/client to pay you from $8 to up per hour with your expertise.

I have been working as a Virtual Assistant for almost more than a year now. Even though VA is not a regular job where you get benefits like SSS, health care, etc. and its contractual BUT if ever you got a project or work that is full time (just like mine), the salary is great than the callcenter in here in Phils.

Working in a callcenter is not good, it has inconsistent time or shifting time where your bio-clock is ruined, its inconsistent coz that is what requires in the callcenter- 24/7 and I heard a lot of my friends who work in the callcenter, have more health problems such as kidney, nervous breakdown, etc. only few ppl really can take it.

My life on previous job when I was in China as a secretary, shipping clerk, supervisor, etc. I work 10hrs to 14 and sometimes more when the job require and there is no overtime fee and I was really stress, homesick and unhappy ( it amaze me how I was able to stay 6 to 7yrs).

Adsense- Easy Profit Secrets

Have you even wonder if you could just get paid for having ads on your website or get paids everytime somebody clicks on the link on your website. Well, you are on the right place.
Getting Paid for Clicks
Google Adsense are those little ads you see on the website.
Network of advertiser and Google has made a neat script that puts advertiser on your website base on the content of the website
You first need to have an existing  website like blogger.com or any of your website or blog site and put google adsense . Google mysterious computer search for advertiser have already paying for words related for your site. (example: website about rose- then google adsense will put ads about rose).
If the visitor visit your blog and click on the google adsense ad that’s where you start making money. That’s how easy it is. You just need to put those code into your website or blog, to make ad related to your site. And you get paid when people click on them.

The Don’t and Do’s of Google Adsense:
Advertiser want to be sure that it’s a valid click that you are not trying sneak click in to make people click on those ads
Don’t Adsense: (those things you don’t want to do)
1.)Don’t tell people to click
-Don’t tell people to click the ads like they will win prizes, etc. LET the ad be as it is.
2.) Don’t put arrows- NO ARROWS
Arrows Pointing at the Adsense, hey click.. don’t put the arrows.
3.) Don’t manipulate and don’t mess with the google code.- you make sure all good.

Do’s Adsense: ( that will make you more money)
1.)Provide good content
-give some people to read, something that will engage them.
2.) in that good content, make those link or ad blend in
-if your website is blue then make the links blue, if your website or blog is white then make those links white.  (you can do all these google adsense set up area, how big, etc). You don’t want  them to stand out and make it a soar thumb, you want to make sure they blend in, be flow with your page.
3.)to make pages about higher price word in your market
-what words generate the most money, using google keywords (words that you usually do, what people are paying for clicks), make links to other information or website that will gain interest to other people and read your article. Just make sure you follow the google’s guidelines about do’s and don’t and its ethical.  Just note, not to rely on adsense as your sole income source, you want to try different things like affiliate stuff, your own product, tons of stuff, etc. Adsense is just a supplement to what your doing on your website.
Here are few myths and facts:
a.)MYTHS- putting google adsense on your blog would right away earn you some bucks/ money thru trafficking (meaning people visiting your blog, your website).  (NOT TRUE)
FACT- its not the trafficking that earns you the money, its those google ads. No matter how many people visit your blog or your website even million people visiting it and yet, nobody clicking those google adsense little icon (google advertisement) on your blog , there is no point. That means no earning from your google adsense.
b.)MYTHS- how easy you can earn from google adsense (meaning fast easy money).  (NOT TRUE).
FACT- it takes time and possible years before your revenue will generate money. Its not a fast easy scheme. You need to build up your website (lots of information ) where people visit and it doesn’t mean just because you have a lot of people visiting your blog or website your going to earn money. People need to click those link and ads in order to become valid and earn money on that.
Hope this blogging help for those newbie in google adsense, Happy clicking!

Google Adsense application (step- by-step)

What is Google Adsense?

Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to earn money by displaying targeted, unobtrusive Google ads on their websites. AdSense also allows you to provide Google search to your site users, while earning money by displaying Google ads on the search results pages.
You'll earn when users visit your website and click on or view the ads on your pages, depending on the type of ad.

To start of you need to register for Google Adsense

I have applied so 2-3 times and it was still rejected and wondering what went wrong. It was not an easy journey, I surf alot and went to website you never thought I would visit, and not all information are true.  I was lucky enough to stumble one blog that teaches google adsense and the reason why my application was always rejected is because I need a DOMAIN. Like any of you, I am clueless what a domain is but it is 1 of the requirements for google adsense and I happen to find 1 free domain:

http://www.freedomain.co.nr (or you can click on my blog : pasyonblogger.blogspot.com- there is co.nr icon there, it would lead you to that link)

and after I register the domain, the next step is put that domain (with their icon) to your existing blog. Pls. note that your blog must at least be active for more than a week (meaning post lot of blogs).

Then go to google adsense: https://www.google.com/adsense/login/en_US/?gsessionid=6uIH332-CYxUD9pS4Px1iw

Fill up the form and google adsense will tell you to wait for 2-3 days.. then they will sent an email to your inbox informing that your google adsense has already activated.
