“Do you enjoy your work?”

A funny story:

A man was walking in a park, taking pictures as he went along. He saw 2 men in workmen’s overalls. One of them had a shovel, digging a hole in the park. Then another guy comes along and covers the hole. After that, they move to another spot and the first guy digs another hole while the 2nd guy covers again.

The man thought, “ My gosh, what are these two guys doing? Dig a hole, cover it. Dig a hole, cover it.”

When he could not contain it anymore, he went to the 2 guys and said, “Excuse me, what are you doing?”

The first guy said, “Well, you see, we’re supposed to be 3 guys here. The government pays me to dig a hole. The government pays this other guys to cover the hole. The guy who’s supposed to be between us is sick. He’s absent but we have to work. The guy in the middle is supposed to plant a tree, but he’s not here.” (toink)

Some employees know what to do, but they don’t know why they do what they do. They think that’s the only way to make a living, not knowing why they are doing there in the first place.

When I asked people, “Do you enjoy your work?” the most common answer I get are “Yes” and “Well, work is work. It puts food on the table.” OR “I can’t be choosy, I am lucky I got the job with the global crisis right now, its really hard to find any job at all”.

There are so many wonderful ways of putting food on the table, why pick something that you don’t enjoy? And worst, you got very little income that is not enough to feed your 4 kids and not compensating your value as an employee (working yourself to death and agreeing to every task your boss ask you to do).

I know a lot of my friends and acquaintances who work the 9am to 5pm shift and being payed very little. Worst, they travel 1 hr from home to work and they have to wake up very early to feed their kids, take a shower, dress up, eat, etc before going to work and usually they are late on their work.

I don’t know if you heard about Pay to Click (PTC), but for those people who haven’t heard about what PTC is, it is a website where you click ads and you get money on that (but it takes a lot of time) coz each time you click, the price is $0.01 and some are $0.005 or worst, $0.0001 (yeah, you can imagine how on earth are you going earn out of this.

Well, for those people who love to surf in Facebook, Friendster, or any other social networking, you do spend a lot of time surfing and clicking and playing Restaurant, Farmville, etc. Do you earn at all? I mean you take so much time and investment on those games and surfing, you might as well, put a PTC next to your tab.

So it just need time and more patience just like savings, one day at a time, and the next thing you knew, at the end of the month you already earn (tip: apply as many PTC website so you can multiply your earning, the click only takes 2-5sec)

Everyone has a dream and a goal in life, however because of disappointment, challenges and frustration along our journey, we simple give up and buried those dreams.

Last few weeks, I attended an Internet Marketing Seminar by Jomar Hilaro, cost me P2777. Now, when you say “internet marketing”-that means extra money, you thought the seminar will be about hands on, teaching you about online internet marketing. Sadly, it covers about realizing “what you love”, “what you fear”, “what you hate to do”, etc. So it was not what I expected, and worst, the frustration of not still logging into “google adsense” (that is the reason I went there in the first place, hoping somehow he will guide me through it). I don’t know if you heard about google adsense, but for those who have not heard and have no idea what google adsense. Do you know you can earn $200 to even more for joining google adsense. I heard from a friend his boss earned $2k per month just for google adsens.. Its where you have a blog and attach your google adsense link to your blog and each time a person who visit your blog click your website or your link, you where you earn in your google adsense meaning you have a heavy traffic in your website – you can surf and google more through youtube or search on google what google adsense is. (For those who have already earn, kindly share how you get approve from google adsense, I tried 3 times already and still no luck of getting approved, don’t know why it wont get thru)

Well, I was really disappointed after the seminar, I mean what is the purpose of attending to a seminar if you are not earning at all?

Then later on, I realize why Jomar focus so much in the emotional and mental side. You see, most of the people attended in that seminar expect to earn money or have an extra income of becoming an internet marketing (it is a BIG market) when attended his seminar (that’s the idea), however it’s a short vision.
